how can the microspore mother cell (2n) undergo reduction division i.e meiosis to form four haploid microspore cells? if it undergoes 2 divisions shouldn't its ploidy be 4n to give four haploid cells?

actually 2n is the process of meiosis 4haploid cells and n means mitosis that is two daughter cells that is diploid
