The more is the vibration , the more is the loudness of the sound. The musician produces more vibrations to produce loud sound or produce less vibration to produce low sound.
For eg.- Sound is produced on tabla by hitting the upper membrane. When the membrane is hit with more force, it produces more sound. Similarly, when the procedure is opposite the loudness of the sound produced is low.
