How can the people get government to act?

a government is an part of the chief deliberative organisation which works for the betterment of its citizens ..

but if the government ceases to act and provide its citizens with good means of livelihood and ideal conditions of living etc..or doesn't help the people to progress..

then in a DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC,

# the greatest way by which the people can get the government to act is by protests
....and the government has no right to stop the protests by force since the people of a democratic nation have the right to put their views forward.


# the people also have the right to overthrow the government if they aren't satisfied with its functioning... because they have the right to constitutional remedies and the court can't deny that..


# in today's world..there are hundreds of other platforms to expression of views regarding the government like the general media, social media being one of the biggest platform etc
