how can the people in a democratic country pressurise the government to change the repressive laws

First of all the people need to tell the person in power of the local government body and wait for some time . If it doesn't gets changed then collect people and then start a movement against the law . After a few days the movement will be known in the region and when the people will start asking the head govt about the case then they have to change the law
