people can oppose laws by holding public meetings and hartals. also every one has the right to free speech and expression so they can use media to keep up their thoughts.

Laws are opposed when people feel that a particular law is hurting the sentiments of the people. Our constitution also support peaceful demonstrations and mass strikes to oppose any such laws. For example when the law of reservation was imposed so people organised mass strikes to remove it.
