Ozymandias is basically based on the truth that nothing remains beside time.
The aluttiah time destroys every thing in it's way not besides reamins. The ravages of time destroys even the most glorious ones along with his glory. It can be compared to today's society in a way that people should beware of that time time is gonna destroy every thing they even try hardest of harder nothing's gonna be remain so they should leave their temper anger and jealousy, and should live with peace.

The poem brings out the ephemerality of the statues and sculptures that the rich and the mighty get carved out to immortalize themselves. The power and pelf of these arrogant people however fails to perpetuate their names and fame. The all consuming power of time wipes their names from the face pf earth and their statues are torn down from the high pedestals that they are mounted on. The pride and arrogance of these so-called 'mighty' is mocked at by the shattered fragments of their statues that lie neglected and half buried here and there.
