a convex mirror cannot obtain a real image

 \bold {Real\:Image}
→ Image formed when the rays of light after reflection actually meet at a point and form inverted image of the object.

It is not possible because convex mirror is a diverging mirror. It will diverge all the coming rays so the rays do not actually meet, they appears to meet thus forming a virtual image.

When the object is at infinity the inage formed by convex mirror will be at focus, highly diminished,and virtual erect.

When object is anywhere between infinity and pole, the image will be virtual , diminished,erect and behind the mirror.
