Yes, it is correct that salt is present in the sea because at the bottom of the sea, metamorphic rock is found. As we know that sea is a mixture of salts and water. As we know that, when we are using the method of crystalization on the sea water, we get that salt gets settled down and water gets evaporated. In sea water, salts come to the sea water because sea water contain many types of ores and metamorphic rock which contains rich amount of salts and when these stones comes near the rock, all the salts present in the sea is dissolved into the sea water. So, sea water contain salts.
