In 1992 some amendments are done to improve decentralisation :
*two -third of seats are reserved for women.
*it is mandatory to hold regular elections to local government bodies .
*seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC.
*the election would be conducted by state election commission.
*state government have to share it's power and revenue with local government bodies.
