They can resist aggression by reinforcing unity.
- Today's youth must remain optimistic and spiritually sound, as they will gain trust in things if they understand them properly.
- Youths make up a larger proportion of the global population today, and they face numerous obstacles that can lead to a state where everything becomes negative.
- By improving our dignity, they can avoid aggression. They should lead the way in all activities because they have the ability to withstand violence, and their strength must be mobilized at this crucial juncture.
There are many reasons behind aggression and so there are also many ways to counter it.
1. Channelising the energy through sports or hobbies- It is extremely important for the youth to channelise their energy. Getting actively involved in sports or hobbies helps put the mind to use in a positive way. It also helps build a routine and reduce frustration levels.
2. Interacting with society in general- Interaction with people of different age groups gives the youngsters the opportunity to understand how different people think. It also includes interacting with family members of various generations. Such interaction opens the minds of the youth to different perspectives of one situation. In times of aggression, being open to hearing out the other person's point of view helps in resolving the issue amicably.
3. Practicing mindfulness- Being mindful means to be consciously sensitive to other people's needs. When mindfulness becomes a part of the general attitude towards life, fewer things can trigger aggression.
4. Introspecting often- Introspection means looking within one's own mind. The young generation should make efforts to identify the factors that trigger their aggression and then try to avoid those factors. For example, if someone gets very agitated and aggressive when they are hungry, simply being aware of the root cause can help them reduce moments of aggression.
5. Focussing on the positives- Aggression often sets in because of frustration. One way of minimising frustration is by focussing on the positive aspects of any situation. Once the mind becomes used to seeing the positives, an optimistic mindset will develop, which will automatically reduce aggression.
