Many people and different personalities, especially historians, have been interested in matters concerning the life of the hero in particular with a variety of matter that could catch the attention of people during their times up to the present time for more than one hundred years of history since the day of death of Dr. Jose Rizal. Among the countless and never-ending debates over Rizal's life, one question has piqued the interest of Catholic Church delegates, including historians, scholars, and writers. That issue is all about Rizal's retraction of his alleged opposition to the Catholic Church.
We may have heard or read something about retraction from someone or somewhere. What we don't know is if Rizal's retraction is genuine or not, based on what we've heard. Rizal may have done it for a variety of reasons, including personal gain and/or the sake of his other issues. We may have also heard about the events that occurred in his final hours, minutes, and seconds before he was executed. People tend to have doubts about what really happened at those periods.
