how can three resistors of resistance 2 ohms , 3 ohms and 6 ohms be connected to give a total resistance of : (a). 4 ohms (b). 9 ohms ?

a)first let 3 ohm resistor abd 6ohm resistor be in parallel:1/3+1/6=2+1/6=2ohms
then add 2 ohm resistor to series to obtain a total resistance of 4ohms.
