$R_{1}$ = 2 Ohm

Total resistance = 2 + 2 = 4 Ohm

b) To get resistance of 1 Ohm

Connect all the resistors in parallel

1 /R = 1 /2 + 1 /3 + 1 /6 = 6 /6

R = 1 Ohm

Total resistance = 1 Ohm
