Trees are known as the purifiers of earth. As we know, global warming is caused due to the increased levels of gases such as carbon dioxide, trees absorb these gases and release oxygen. Thus it maintains a stable climate and reduces global warming.

Answer :

Trees and other plants play an important role in saving the earth from Global Warming and Climate Change. Global warming is caused due to the increased levels of gases such as carbon dioxide and methane which trap the sun's heat. Deforestation and cutting down of trees is a major contributor to climate change. Trees are known as the purifiers of earth as they use the carbon dioxide to form biomass in the presence of sunlight  and release oxygen through the process of photosynthesis. In this manner, trees help mitigate climate change and reduce global warming.

In addition, trees provide shade, provide food products and fuel, block harsh winter winds, attract various species of wild animals and birds, purify the air, prevent soil from eroding, and add beauty to our surroundings.
