how can unsaturated hydrocarbon made saturated . give an example

Unsaturated hydrocarbons can be made saturated hydrocarbons by addition reaction. Hydrogen is added to them in presence of nickel catalyst.

Unsaturated hydrocarbon can be converted to saturated hydrocarbon with the process called as Addition reaction.In this reaction unsaturated hydrocarbon is treated with a catalyst nickel in presence of hydrogen to convert it to saturated form.
