The swallow despite wanting to go to Egypt decided against it because he felt that the Happy prince was a very nice person and he should serve him. we can learn the following from the swallow:-

• Being loyal to our friends and family in their times of need: Being loyal to people despite the hardships they are facing in life is one of the central messages of the chapter just like the sparrow was loyal until the end to the king we should be loyal to people around us.
• Being helpful to others: The swallow could have left the king and gone to Egypt to enjoy be he didn't leave the prince's side and helped him till the end we should also be helpful to people.
