Answer:

We can calculate the density of any irregular object by using the displacement method.

THINGS NEEDED:-

A measuring cylinder , An irregular object like stone , a thread and a beam balance

METHOD

1.) We will take the stone and measure it's mass using the bean balance. We will note it down as 'M' gram

2.) We will take a measuring cylinder and will partially fill the water in it.N ote down the water level as V1 ml

3.) Now we will tie a thread to the stone and will slowly immerge it into the water. The water level will increase and we will measure the increase water level as V2 ml

4.) For finding volume we will subtract V1(first water level) from V2(increased water level) . This will give us the volume.

CALCULATION

Formula of density is :- Mass/ Volume

Mass :- M gram

Volume:- (V2-V1ml)

density:- M gram/ (V2-V1ml)

:- M gram /( V2-V1 )

Apply the unit gram/cm cube

Conversion

1 ml= 1cm cube
