Hindus believe when a person dies, he or she is reincarnated as another being, hopefully in a higher caste. The only way to move to a higher caste in the next life is to strictly obey the rules of one's current caste. Arranged marriages within a caste still occur, but occasionally people now marry outside their caste.

Explanation:

we can change our caste system legally by law or willingly adopting the religion which we want. We can change our caste system by offering our offspring (next generation) to adopt the other caste or religion which we want and also by marrying into another caste then our ongoing generation will be changed.

If we want to upgrade our caste then we have to adopt Jainism and Buddhism religion and change our name, identity ,surname to this religion. There are many person in the history which had not changed their caste ,name and identity and made her own reputation.

Example:

Mahapadma nanda :

He was the ruler of Magadh after shishunaga Dynasty. He was so powerful and brave ruler who came to be known as "Destroyer of Kshatriyas"
