Their life can be changed by providing them education and taking care.
- The question has been asked from the story Children At Work
- Velu was eleven years old when he left home due to his father being alcoholic and violent. He was a victim of his circumstances
- He arrived in Chennai and met a girl his own age. On her back, the girl was holding a large sack. She was loading plastic cups into the sack when she picked them up.
- When she saw him in such a bad state, she felt sorry for him and got him some food. He was also taken to her hut, where she gave him pair of old shoes, a sack, and a stick.
- He was curious as to what she had in mind, she told him that he, too, was now a ragpicker. Velu was all by himself and had no choice but to take the role of a ragpicker
- The kids were deprived of basic necessities. Such kids can be nurtured by giving them proper education and care.
