How can we checked pollution?
Answers
Answer:
You are too general when you said 'the level of pollution'. One can't find out the levels of pollution by just measuring one or two parameters.
Pollution can be of many sorts such as Air Pollution, Noise Pollution, Water Pollution. Each will be measured based on a number of parameters which effect the human health and ecosystems when present at levels higher than the permissible ones.
Air Pollution is measured through parameters such as Particulate Matter (PM2.5 and PM10) which can be measured through a 'Dust Sampler' and gases such as Sulfur Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides, Ozone, Carbon Monoxide which can be measured through one of the various gas samplers.
Water Pollution is measured through parameters such as Total Solids (Dissolved & Suspended), Hardness, Turbidity, Fluoride, Iron, Sodium, Potassium and many more.
Each parameter has a different standard procedure on how to measure and what the respective limits are.
Hope this helps.
