A galvanic cell is an electrochemical cell that uses the transfer of electrons in redox reactions to supply an electric current. This cell is driven by a spontaneous chemical reaction that produces an electric current through an outside circuit. Galvanic cellreactions supply energy, which is used to perform work.

 The Galvanic Cells is a device that transforms chemical energy into electric energy. It is the common application of electro chemistry which is also called battery. It was invented by Luigi Galvani and Alessandro Volta which has capability of producing a voltage.
