How can we determine North and South Pole of an Electromagnet with the help of a magnetised iron bar?

An electromagnet is a solenoid which has a soft iron core attached inside it  .

The point from where the current first flows through the circuit is the south pole and the other is north.

take a trade and hang the magnet atomic point towards south and north pole
