By suspending magnetised bar and identify its north and south poles.

An electromagnet is a temporary magnet made by passing current in a coil wound around a piece of soft iron.
if we bring the north pole of the magnet towards the pole of the electromagnet and there is a repulsion then it is a north pole and if we take the north pole of the iron bar towards the other end of electromagnet and it attracts it then it is a south pole of electromagnet. Then taking the south pole of magnetised iron bar follow the above steps
