THE CORROSION RATE,CR IN mm PER YEAR IS GIVEN BY CR = 3.27×10^-3 Ew/ P where icorr is CORROSION CURRENT DENSITY IN microA/cm^2.

corrosion current density is a kinetic value and potential is thermodynamic value.corrosion rate is proportional to corrosion current density
