To determine the distance or displacement of a body travelling with uniform acceleration from it's velocity time graph is to find the  area of the graph.

Proof:
area= (Δy)(Δx)
area=Δv×Δt  (velocity ×  time)
        =Δs/Δt×Δt  (v=s/t)
        =Δs(distance or displacement)
