contact force is a force which can be applied only when the body is in contact of another body.. for example... a man pushing a cycle or a car.... it is mainly muscular force...

non contact force or a force at a distance is a force which is applied by our solar system or which mostly impossible for a human to apply... for example.... earth applying gravitational force without in contact of any object...
