how can we explain that acetone is liquid? and carbon dioxide is a gas?....pls help​

We can explain it by stating their properties like for acetone it flows easily, have less intermolecular space than gas and more than solid, have less intermolecular force than solid but more than gas, it has a fixed volume but not fixed shape etc..

For co2 you can state the properties of a gas.
