actually root of any number is having power as a fraction.
for ex:-
√4

similar if it is
![\sqrt[3]{x} = {x}^{1 \div 3} \\ \sqrt[4]{x} = {x}^{1 \div 4} \sqrt[3]{x} = {x}^{1 \div 3} \\ \sqrt[4]{x} = {x}^{1 \div 4}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=+%5Csqrt%5B3%5D%7Bx%7D+%3D+%7Bx%7D%5E%7B1+%5Cdiv+3%7D+%5C%5C+%5Csqrt%5B4%5D%7Bx%7D+%3D+%7Bx%7D%5E%7B1+%5Cdiv+4%7D+)
![so \: \: \sqrt[y]{x} = {x}^{1 \div y} so \: \: \sqrt[y]{x} = {x}^{1 \div y}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=so+%5C%3A+%5C%3A+%5Csqrt%5By%5D%7Bx%7D+%3D+%7Bx%7D%5E%7B1+%5Cdiv+y%7D+)
This is one way of finding root of any number.
this is for perfect square numbers .
but for non perfect square numbers you have to use long division method.
hope it helps you.
