Let the breadth (b) be x and length (l) be 2x.
Perimeter = 288m
Here,
Perimeter = 2 (l+b)
Or, 288 = 2 (2x + x)
Or, 288 = 2 (3x)
Or, 288 = 6x
Or, 288/6 = x
Or, x = 48 m
Now,
Breadth (b) = x = 48m
Length (l) = 2x = 2*48 = 96m

Hope it helps!

Solution :-

  • Given that , length is twice of breadth and perimeter is 288m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b)

Where l is length & b is breadth

And by the given information Length = 2(breadth) . So ,

=> 288 = 2 ( l + b)

=> 288 = 2 ( 2b + b )

[ Since ,Given ]

=> 288 = 2(3b)

=> 288 = 6b

=> breadth = 288/6

=> Breadth = 48m

By the given information twice of breadth equal to length , so ,

→ 2(48) = Length

Length = 96m

Conclusion :-

  • Length = 96m
  • Breadth = 48m
