How can we find these sum (7/5×-3/12)+(7/5×5/12) by using distributive property

If a , b , c are Rational numbers ,

a × b + a × c = a ( b + c )

Distributive property

Here

a = 7/5 ,

b = ( -3/12 ) ,

c = 5/12 ,

[ 7/5 × ( -3/12 ) ] + [ 7/5 × 5/12 ]

= 7/5 × [ -3/12 + 5/12 ]

= 7/5 × ( 2/12 )

= ( 7 × 2 )/ ( 5 × 12 )

after cancellation

= 7/30
