The demand for fresh water is increasing day by day and the supply is falling short. This increasing demand can be fulfilled by the some of the following measures-
1. Regular checks on the industries which release their their effluents into the rivers and pollute the fresh water coming from rivers.
2. Controlling the population growth.
3. Educating the people to change their consumption and lifestyles.
4. Recyling fresh water.
5. Invent water conservation techniques such as rain water harvesting.
6. Improving irrigation and agricultural practices to avoid wastage of water.
