We can get the white light back by two prisms which are placed in succession,by the following way -

• If we pass the white light through a prism ,the single light ray will be dispersed into seven basic colours. (VIBGYOR)

• In this situation,if we place another prism next to the first prism but in an inverted way,then the splitted light rays will be converged into a single white light ray while passing through the second inverted prism.

• In this way,we can easily get back the white light ray by using two prisms which are situated in succession.
