I am going to prove it mathematically:
♡Consider a body moving with initial velocity 'u'. It takes time t to cover certain distances and hence its velocity changes into v . It accelerates which is denoted by a.
☆We know that
V = u + at (by the first eq.of motion)
So,squaring the first equation of motion both the sides to get-
v^2 = (u + at )^2
V^2 = u ^2 + 2u × at + (at)^2
V ^2 = u^2 + 2uat + a^2t^2
V ^2 = u^2 + 2uat + 2a^2 t^2/2
( By doing so there is no change in its value and hence we can use second equation of motion ' s = ut +1/2 at^2)
So,we have
V^2 = u^2 + 2a (ut + 1/2 at^2)
V^2 = u^2 + 2as (putting the value of second eq.of motion)
Hence,proved.
