how can we help government personally

I do not like or seek government help. I could apply for Food Stamps in the winter. I don't.
I could apply for Heat & Energy Assistance Program in winter, instead of processing firewood 9 months per year. No thanks. The government (and much of its citizenry) are broke due to taxation - the government taxing, citizens paying.
So long as I'm able bodied I'll TRY to never accept a cent of government aid, despite I could GET IT!
