how can we identify whether something is exothermic or endothermic? at which side we should be looking while telling this... reactant or the product side?

So if the sum of the enthalpies of the reactants is greater than the products, the reaction will be exothermic. If the products side has a larger enthalpy, the reaction is endothermic. You may wonder why endothermic reactions, which soak up energy or enthalpy from the environment, even happen.

we can tell or identify whether something is endothermic or exothermic by the following points ..
- In endothermic. heat is taken for reaction that is taking place on the rectant side.
- but in exothermic ,the heat is relased during the reaction on the product side..
