How can we increase our 6GB Ram pc to 8GB Ram!!!!

Please provide exact HP model and intel processor variant to check if you can expand it or not.

  1. Assuming your processor supports 8GB of RAM and you are running 64-bit version of windows you can go for an upgrade to your nearest HP service center and ask them to install another 4GB module.
  2. Assuming your processor supports 8GB of RAM but you are running 32-bit version of windows, The windows will not be able to utilize the 8GB of physical RAM present. So in this case you need to re-install a 64-bit variant of windows and then do an upgrade.
  3. Last scenario is you have 2 slots of ram and currently only one is having a 4GB of RAM module you can buy another 4GB module and install. or you have 2GB modules each on slots so you can choose now to buy 4GB (so total 4+2=6GB RAM) or single 8GB module.
