THE BRAINLIEST

We know that Pressure is inversely proportional to the area of contact. So it is possible to increase the pressure by reducing the area of contact.

To explain in a better way. I'd like to give some examples:

• Needles and knife have sharp edges to make cutting and piercing easier. The area of contact is less so the pressure is more.

• School bags have wider straps to make it more easier to carry it. Wider straps increase the area of contact so the pressure is reduced.
