how can we know that an element is -ve or +ve.How can we say that

if an element donates electrons to other ,, then it is positive... if an electron get electrons from others,, it is negative

Here is your answer!!

If an element has less than 4 electrons( 1, 2, 3 )
then it loses electron to form positive ion.

If an element has more than 4 electrons(5,6,7) then it gains electron to form negative ion.
