How can we locate the position of a pole star with the help of which constellation of?

Look at these stars. Do you recognise any of the patterns?



2. That’s right, it’s the Plough / Big Dipper! Everyone surely recognises this group of stars.

See the final two stars on the right, these are known as the ‘pointer’ stars.



3. Use those two to draw a line up and eventually you’ll come to a fairly bright star (not the brightest… That’s Polaris / The North Star / The Pole Star:
