How can we measure the length of a curved line?

mark it on string
keep string straight and measure it

1. take a thread and tie a knot at one of its ends.



2. Now keep the knotted end of the thread on the one end of the curved line.



3. Now hold thread with your fingers .


4. now stretch it along the curved line until you reach the other end.
