how can we preserve the water for future

by small-small steps like : -
do not wash vehicles,and big stuff with water jet...use mug and bucket instead if that .
do not waste water over small things like open tap while brushing .
do not take exessive water for anything

we can preserve water by many ways...like by not wasting water .. by utilising the water in proper way .. by not doing any useless work which required water ... by saving every drop of water becoz.. .. every precious drop of water will needed in our future .. so these r the methods by which we can preserve the water for future ..
