Sexual propagation involves the floral parts of a plant. Asexual propagation involves taking a part of one parent plant and causing it to regenerate itself into a new plant. The resulting new plant is genetically identical its parent.

We can produce a new plant having all the qualities of the parent plant by VEGETATIVE PROPAGATION.
- The offsprings produced by sexual reproduction may or may not have some differences from the parents due to genetic reasons.
- But the various methods of vegetative propagation like layering, grafting, cutting, etc develop the new plant from a part of the parent plant.
- So, in asexual reproduction (vegetative propagation) the new plants will have all the same qualities as the parent plants.
