The different physical divisions of India are unique in itself but inspite of their differences, they are interdependent on each other :

a) The northern mountains are rich source of water and forest resources.

b) The northern plains with fertile soil are the granaries of the country.

c) Peninsular plateau is the store house of minerals and a base for manufacturing industries.

d) The coastal plains are good fishing grounds and trading activities (ports).

e) The island groups with unique diversity in flora and fauna attract tourists.

Thus, the physical features can't exist without each other indicating geographical unity in diversity.
