HII
The coefficient of drag of a vehicle depends predominantly on the shape .
Therefore, vehicle designers change specific aspects of the shape of the body of the vehicle in order to
reduce the total aerodynamic drag and thus increase fuel economy

Evansd: what about airplanes?
Wararc: hmm....
Wararc: A: Engineers reduce friction drag by making the airplane more streamlined, the wings narrower, or by using new materials that make the surface more smooth, decreasing the ability for the force of drag to effect it. As the roughness and surface area of the airplane decreases the friction drag will decrease.

1. By using an aerodynamic surface design optimizing mass, volume, area etc.

2. By using a smooth surface with least friction coefficient for the toughness required. .

3. By cleaning the surface of dust etc.

4. By traveling at a height where air density is lower.
