how can we satisfy the tetravalency of carbon in any given compound? explain with an example.

a carbon has four electrons in its outer most shell so it requires still more 4 electrons to get stable electronic configuration of neon carbon atom forms four covalent bonds by sharing valence electrons with others it is called tetra valency of carbon 

ex: it forms sp3 hybridization to form methane
it forms sp2 hybridisation to form ethene
ot forms sp hybridisation to form ethene
