hi, my dear friend,
IN THE CASE OF CANDLE
burning of candle is a chemical change even if it appears to be a physical change . we know that the candle is made up of wax with a thin string through its centre . In candle the wax is not decomposed during the process .but, the string is decomposed to carbon during the process .we know that chemical change is a change in which a substance is being decomposed . thus it is a chemical change .
IN THE CASE OF BULB
here the bulb just glow on and off . no constituent inside the bulb is decomposed . we know that the gases are taken out during manufacturing inorder to make the bulb glow without flickering . electrical energy is converted into light and heat energy . also , light and heat energy can be converted back to electrical energy . thus a reversible as well as a physical change .
I hope you got the idea .
