Answer:

Explanation:

Ustad Bismillah Khan was a maestro of shehnai. He was the finest Indian classical musicians India has ever produced. His performance at All India Music Conference in 1937, Calcutta gave shehnai a true recognition. He started playing at a very tender age of 6 years. He was inspired by his father and soon took up playing the instrument of shehnai.

Khan was  felicitated with numerous national as well as international awards. He had the opportunity to play  shehnai in front of almost all the audiences throughout the world. He was so connected with his shehnai that at one point of time he referred the instrument as his begum(wife)  after the death of his wife.

After he died, due to cardiac arrest he was honoured by the Government of India by keeping a day of mourning. The great shehnai player was given a trademark gun salute by the Indian Army. As a mark of respect and honor the shehnai of Ustadji was buried with him.

Hope this helps.
