how can we say that heat from the sun reaches the earth by radiation and not by conduction or convection
Ruchinaik:
Radiation: Radiation is the final form of movement of heat energy. The sun's light and heat cannot reach us by conduction or convection because space is almost completely empty. There isnothing to transfer the energy from the sun to the earth.

Because for travel of heat through conduction and convection they need molecule to travel through however outer space is like a huge vaccum so we say that heat from sun reaches to us by radiation.

•Conduction needs a solid medium, but there is no such medium between sun and earth.
•Convection requires a liquid medium where there is circulation of molecules. But there is no such fluid medium between Sun and Earth
•Radiation is the emission or transmission of energy in the form of waves or particles through space or through a material medium. This includes: electromagnetic radiation, such as radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, x-rays, and gamma radiation.
