How can we say that Indians are passionate about cricket?? Think and answer.

There are multiple reasons for this;
We, Indians were looking for heroes in 1980's and during that time India won the World Cup in 1983 in England.
We could connect with the team and think that they have made our country proud. It evoked a feeling of patriotism. That really set the stage for a more passionate and intense involvement with the game.
Cricket, as a game was always better managed in India as compared to other sports which made the proposition of following cricket a lot more attractive.
The cricketers conducted themselves with dignity such that the respect for them and the game automatically rose.
It was/is covered widely in media. Other sports just do not match up with the coverage.
Its not that only indians are passionate about cricket. From all over the world people are giving good response to cricket.
