How can we say that Solids,Liquids and gases have a fixed volume?

Solids and liquids have fixed volume but gases don't.

volume of a object is dependent on the area
so particles in solids and liquids don't move that much frm there place
so they have fixed volume
but particles of gases move far away so their volume is not fixed
